With this watercolor study I tried to replicate Homer's crashing waves through layering wet over dry paint.
I roughed up the sky with blotting and erasing to create a heavy and ominous feeling.

A watercolor of a photo that I took at Lake Powell, Arizona. I tried to paint this in the style of J.M.W Turner. Rather than paint the photo exactly, I painted to show the feeling.
